Facebook Africa's top mobile site

A NEW STATE of the Mobile Web report from Opera shows that Facebook is one of the most popular sites to be accessed via mobile devices in Africa. Facebook is the site most accessed by mobile web users in six of the top 10 African mobile web-using countries. Google is also a top site for Africa's mobile web users.

The report found that Opera Mini has garnered more than 41.7 million users worldwide in November last year, a 5.3% increase on the previous month.

The top 10 countries using Opera Mini in Africa are South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Egypt, Ghana, Libya, Ivory Coast, Zambia, Tanzania and Namibia.
