Telehouse Europe enters SA

INTERNATIONAL COMPANY KDDI-owned Telehouse is establishing its carrier neutral data centre facilities in SA through a strategic partnership with local company, Teraco.

Carrier neutral data centre firm Telehouse now houses The London Internet Exchange (LINX), over 60 carriers and over 700 ISPs, service providers, information and communication technology companies and enterprise customers in London. It has over 20 data centres worldwide.

In terms of its agreement with Teraco, Telehouse will be allocated data centre space within Teraco's Cape Town and Johannesburg facilities. Teraco MD Lex van Wyk says Teraco will operate, support and maintain Telehouse's local facilities.
