Garmap spreads to Latin America

SOUTH AFRICAN map data provider Garmap has partnered with three organisations in Chile, Argentina and Brazil to deliver mobile navigation services in Latin America. Garmap reports that this is the largest rollout of its technology outside of Africa. The three countries have an estimated total of around 55 million mobile phones and smartphones that are compatible with Garmap for Mobile, and the number of navigation-capable phones is growing steadily.
