Tarsus Technologies has signed an agreement which sees it bringing AOC LED displays to SA. Darryl Squara, GM at Tarsus, says AOC is responsible for the underlying technology inside a number of other brands of monitor available today. “This means even though AOC is officially the sixth largest brand of monitor in the world, if one includes the number of organisations it manufactures monitors for and on behalf of, it’s by far the largest monitor manufacturer in the world,” Squara says.
Fujitsu has added new workplace systems to the proGREEN and premium selection portfolios. Fujitsu’s proGREEN selection portfolio provides energy-saving features, such as 94%-efficient power supplies and 0-Watt functionality. The updated proGREEN selection includes Lifebook notebooks, Esprimo PCs, a display, Celcius workstations and, for the first time, selected Primergy servers.

Network Platforms has secured the sub-distribution rights for Cyberoam’s unified threat management (UTM) product. “We have been searching some time for a UTM product that has all the functionality, pricing and stability that Cyberoam’s products have to offer,” says Bradley Love, MD of Network Platforms. Cyberoam UTM, the company claims, offers network security, network connectivity, continuous availability and secure remote access, with controlled network access to mobile workers.
Q-KON has launched an online sales facility to extend its distribution service to Africa. The facility is the primary component of the company’s logistics distribution capability strategy. Existing and prospective customers, including service providers, can log in to view and purchase products directly from the company. The first product set to be made available online is that of the NET (Network Equipment Technologies) line of VOIP gateway solutions.
