IT hardware and software distributor, AxizWorkgroup, received top honours when its VMware team was named VMware Distributor of the Year, at the 2011 VMware Channel Awards, held at Randlords, in Braamfontein, on Thursday, 28 June. The company’s virtualisation business unit manager, Willie Jansen van Rensburg, received individual recognition for his contribution to VMware South Africa.

Dimension Data has won two 2012 Microsoft Global Partner awards, including Microsoft Messaging Partner of the Year, and Microsoft Learning Competency Marketing Excellence Partner of the Year. Bradley Bunch, GM: Microsoft Solutions, Dimension Data Middle East and Africa, said: “Dimension Data is proud to receive these awards.”

Konica Minolta SA receives Distributor of the Year award

Intervate, a provider of enterprise information management solutions, is the first Microsoft partner in SA to attain the gold search competency. Peter Reid, search specialist at Intervate, says: “By attaining this competency, we are better positioned to improve customers’ search experiences.”

Konica Minolta South Africa, a Bidvest company, has won the international Konica Minolta Distributor of the Year award, for the seventh consecutive year. The annual award is presented by Konica Minolta Business Technologies Japan and is based on the total number of unit sales in addition to the size of the territories involved.

Located at Oracle’s offices in Woodmead, South Africa, and being run on Oracle’s behalf by First Distribution, the hub provides services to drive the growth of partner organisations and their business. Oracle Partner Hub integrates space for demonstrations, meetings and marketing events, specialist trainings in Oracle software, hardware and engineered systems, and technical support for migration to Oracle software.
