Telkom residential and small business customers will now receive a period of free uncapped Internet connectivity, free installation and a free modem when signing up for certain packages.

The fixed-line operator recently announced that customers signing up for a 24-month contract in the Do Uncapped residential and Tbiz Uncapped business product ranges will get free connectivity for three months, a promotion Telkom says translates into savings of up to R4 000 for residential customers and R10 000 for small to medium-sized businesses. “New customers will receive free ADSL and landline installation and a free WiFi modem.”

Telkom says the promotion is in line with the “ever-increasing demand for more data utilisation”.

Manelisa Mavuso, MD of consumer services and retail at Telkom, says the Do Uncapped offering removes restrictions on data volumes. “With this promotion, we are continuing to create new products and services that enable multiple users in a household or business to run multiple bandwidth-hungry applications at the same time, at faster speed s and with greater stability provided by fixed-line Internet.”
