Former Vodacom CEO Alan Knott-Craig has been appointed an independent non-executive director of the Nedbank Group, effective 1 January 2009. The 56-year-old Knott-Craig left SA's biggest cellular operator at the end of September, after 15 years at the helm of the company.

Altron has announced the resignation of one of its senior executives, Onkgopotse JJ Tabane, Group Executive: Corporate Affairs. Tabane has been appointed Chief Information Officer and Head of Communications for the newly formed Congress of the People (COPE).
