LSD Information Technology has been named a Red Hat Training Partner for Middleware in South Africa. LSD is currently the only certified organisation in South Africa to offer local certified Red Hat JBoss Middleware training courses. To attain the latest certification and be able to deliver Red Hat JBoss Middleware training, LSD trainers attended rigorous training courses and achieved certification in Red Hat JBoss Middleware products, followed by a ‘train the trainer’ programme, as well as passing relevant examinations.

Britehouse has used SNP Transformation Backbone to ease phase one of the consolidation of the Zimbabwean and South African instances of SAP for PPC. The three-month project entailed the migration of financial and master data as well as two years of transactional history from the PPC Zimbabwean company to the PPC South African SAP landscape. “It’s remarkable that we finished the project on time and on budget in only three months,” says Janeen Duckitt, Britehouse Account Manager for PPC.

Connection Telecom, a South African cloud-based PBX solutions provider, plans to take on rampant business demand for voice over IP (VOIP) by focusing equally on channel partnerships and growing its private and public hosted client base. The company spoke about its strategies ahead of the year in which research firm BMI-T predicts that the market will grow from R84 million to R128 million (year-on-year growth of 53%). The report “South African PBX and Emerging Voice Market Report – 2013” predicts continued runaway growth for the next four years until 2017, when the market will be worth R405 million – an estimated compound annual growth rate of 148%.
