Local start-up on show in India

A SOUTH AFRICAN company, Mundial Communications, was one of only 17 start-ups selected from 84 applicants to demonstrate its product at Proto.in - a biannual conference held in India last month.

Mundial`s communications platform, Yambi, is a corporate messaging and collaboration services product, which Mundial founders Leonard Badi and Sylvain Ntumba say has been three years in the making. They report that Yambi is designed for use by small businesses, schools, churches, communities and consumers. The entrepreneurs are now seeking external funding to "further the R&D and take the product to the world."
