At EMC Forum 2013, IT professionals will gain insight into how to take their businesses further into the cloud, leverage big data analytics to extract value fr om their information, secure their data, and glimpse the future in virtualised, software-defined data centres.

, country manager of EMC Souther n Africa, says the forum will show IT pr ofessionals how EMC cloud solutions transform IT and business, enabling them to grasp the opportunity that arrives at the intersection where their cloud computing meets big data – both enterprise big data and unstructured big data.

EMC Forum 2013, a free one-day event, is being hosted by EMC Southern Africa on Tuesday, 13 August at The Westin in Cape Town, and on Thursday, 15 August at Gallagher Conference Centre in Johannesburg.

The keynote presentation will be delivered by , president and COO of EMC Information Infrastructur e and Cloud Services. Elias has a wealth of information and insight to impart to the delegates and will be sharing his views on the top challenges and trends impacting enterprises today.

Elias has overall responsibility for setting the strategy, driving execution, and creating best practices for EMC services that enable customers’ jour ney to cloud computing - and will meet with key customers during his visit to South Africa. “I am confident that EMC Forum 2013 will be a unique opportunity for IT professionals to connect and network with their peers from across South Africa as well as around the world,” Venter says. “They will hear local and international insights from high-calibre keynote speakers and presenters, as well as case studies featuring the latest integrated solutions from EMC and our partners.
