The Seitz 6x17 Digital is no ordinary digital camera.  In fact, considering that it can take photos of 160 million pixels in a second, nothing compares to it.

Being the only 6x17 digital camera in the world, the company feels that it is the most advanced and innovative camera yet to capture landscape in their true beauty.  You will however not be able to use this camera the same way you use your normal one.

The Seitz produces images at up to 7 500x 21 250 pixels and stores them in TIF 48 bit format at a file size of 922Mb.  So quickly moving the file to your PC via a USB cable might take a bit longer than you are used to.  The images can be printed out at 300 dpi on paper sizes of up to 64x180cm.

Connection between the camera and your work station is via a gigabit ethernet cable.  Images can be processed using the supplied software which supports Windows and Intel-Mac(32/64bit compatibility).

South African pro photographers who are looking to add this monster to their collection will have to tighten their belts even before considering it.  The top of the range model will set you back in the region of R 304,485.24.
