SensePost MD Charl van der Walt said the massive growth in mobile use will “change everything we know about security”.

“Mobile phones are highly connected, deeply integrated, widely distributed and poorly managed,” he said.

By 2015, the number of mobile-only Internet users will have grown 56-fold worldwide. This raises issues of privacy and control, he said. “The phone has become the ‘ultimate bugging device’.”
